    Bespoke Hangers

    If you’re a large fashion brand looking for bespoke products, our Fashion Retailer Manager Phil Twite is the ideal person to help.

    ‘If you’re making a large investment in a new clothing range or shop design, it’s critical that all aspects of your visual merchandising contribute effectively.  My job is to ensure that your coat hangers play their part in the enterprise.

    With a huge range of wooden and premium boutique plastic hangers in the UK, we can often do that from existing stock, personalised with logo printing in the UK.  The advantages of this approach are shorter lead times and lower minimum order quantities.  This opens up bespoke options to relatively small retailers, as well as all those in a hurry!

    But if you need something more bespoke, we also have a global network of suppliers ready to swing into action.  ‘Bespoke’ can mean adaptions of existing ranges – for instance by changing colour, hooks or metalwork, or adding features like trouser bars or non-slip grips.  Or it could mean totally new designs.

    If you send us a sample, image or spec we will liaise with our suppliers, usually in the hanger manufacturing heartlands of China.  We’ll develop the concept with you through computerised mock-ups and then getting samples from suppliers.  We normally start with 3 different potential suppliers, to ensure we can get the best possible price for you.

    Once the design has been signed off, it usually takes around 12 weeks from placing the order to the hangers arriving in the UK.  If time is very tight, we also source bespoke hangers from Europe though at higher cost.

    That’s the whole process in a nutshell.  Except to add that sometimes bespoke hangers are so beautiful we can’t resist adding them to our stock ranges – which has the added benefit for the original customer of making re-ordering quicker.’

    ’Celebrating 30 years of supporting fashion retailers is a key milestone.  It demonstrates to customers and potential customers alike that we mean business and can be trusted to take care with theirs.

    Even in this globally interconnected age, it’s still crucial to visit suppliers regularly.  This helps to pick up subtle changes in the supply landscape before they start to impact.  It also helps us to add new products and new trustworthy suppliers to our portfolio.  Trade events such as the Canton Fair and EuroShop are also useful ways of extending and renewing our supplier base.
